We sample every tool we build to assure proper part dimensions and mold function. Whether it’s in our state of the art sampling facility, with modern presses ranging from 40T to 300T, or at one of many local molding facilities with capacities up to 1,200T all of our tools are put to the test to assure that when they arrive at your facility and are ready to run.

Process Engineering
The making of a mold is not complete until the mold is operating satisfactorily in the injection molding process. We use our all electric molding machines to de-bug and qualify the mold and molding process prior to mold shipment. Larger molds are qualified using other local molding machines. Full FAI and statistical process capability studies are some of the services available from Rapid. This data will be transferred in a tool book with the mold to the production facility to expedite start up and qualification. All relevant information on the tool will be included in this tool book.

Rapid also provides Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) including
Full Scientific Molding/Decoupled Mold Processing
Gate Freeze Data
Rheology/Viscocity Curve
Design of Experiments (DOE)
Multi Hour qualification Runs

This data will be transferred with the mold to the production facility to expedite start up and qualification.
